Do you offer delivery?

Yes! Delivery makes sure your cake arrives safely! Delivery is $15. I am a local bakery based in Elgin, IL, so if you live farther than fifteen miles away, I charge $15 plus a rate of $0.70 per mile. You can also pick up your cake if you’d like! Please note that I do not do pickup and delivery on Sundays or past 5pm on weekdays.

Do you sell cakes out of state?

I am not legally allowed to sell out of state, so you must be in Illinois in order to purchase one of my cakes.

How much notice is needed to order?

I prefer to plan for a minimum of two weeks in advance! This helps me make sure I have everything I need to bake and decorate your cake. If you are in need of a cake in less than two weeks, I will charge an additional rush order fee of 10% of the total price. For orders less than a week, I will charge 15% of the total price. I will not take orders two days before your event. Please plan your cake with plenty of time! I promise it will save both of us from last minute stress.

Do you use artificial dyes?

Depending on what you request, I will use either artificial or natural dyes. Please let me know what your preference is on the contact form!

What kind of ingredients do you use?

I aim for baking with wholesome ingredients! I use organic or grass-fed dairy, cage-free eggs, and high quality flour.

What kind of decorations do you make?

I currently offer buttercream and other types of frostings, which can be piped into decorations. While I do not currently cover cakes with fondant, I can make small fondant and gum paste decorations such as lettering and flowers!

What occasions do you make cakes for?

All of them! Let me know for what occasion you’d like your cake, and I’ll be more than happy to make your vision come to life!

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes! I require a 50% non-refundable deposit for every order. This allows me to purchase ingredients and other supplies.

If I submit a request form, does this mean I’ve ordered a cake?

No, the request form is only that: a request. If you’ve decided you want me to make your cake, I will send you an estimate and we’ll go from there!
